Working from my garden studio in Kells, County Meath I create designs for screen and digital print. I take inspiration from my surrounding landscape and from the history of Kells, my home town. In my current work these two interests have come together to create two collections:
The organic forms screen and digitally printed on linen for tableware, wall art and lampshades.
The colourful and graphic 'Look of Kells' collection of printed ceramics, wall art and greeting cards.
I was thrilled to win the RDS Muriel Gahan award for Emergent Maker 2017 for a table runner made with a length of natural (undyed) Irish linen. Hand screen printed with white pigment and metallic fabric dyes it reflects a narrative of natural life cycles and place making.
